Torture of 10- year- old

Torture of 10- year- old
Violence on the children cannot be the normative

Every aspect of the story of 10 years old Sagor, published yesterday by the Daily Star, horrifies. Sagor was accused of stealing TK. 2000 by some locals.
He was beaten by the mob mercilessly, put in a sack, tortured with needles injected into his fingers, denied water when asked for it- all because the mob was adamant to force a confession from him. This continued for three hours! That no one came forward to save a 10 years old makes us wonder if abusing children has somehow been normalized in our society.

When he was finally rescued , his family filed a case with the help of  journalists. Now, the family has stared receiving threats. A certain caller, identifying himself as an information ministry staffer, threatened the family and the journalists who reported on the incident, claiming that not even the police could do anything to his brother, who is one of the accused.

It was a crime to torture a child in the first place, whatever the reasons. Even if he had done something wrong - and we must remember , that there was no evidence or reason he had -there are law  enforcement institutions for a reason. It is not for the mob to take the matter into their own hands. Secondly, Sagor's family is now being threatened shows that powerful influentials are trying to cover up the incident.

With his leg badly fractured, Sagor is fortunately out of danger. But this could have easily turned into another instance such as that of Rajon or Rakib. The police have made arrests, but they should focus their investigations on who led the mob and who are the ones making threats now. We have the laws, they need implementation. But social awareness is needed to change the idea that it is alright to use physical violence, to administer "justice".

We should work together to save the future leaders.

China Killed, jailed 20 US spies in 2 years

Beijing systematically dismantled CIA spying efforts in China beginning in 2010, killing or jailing more than a dozen covert sources, in a deep setback to US intelligence there, The New York Times reported yesterday.

The Times, quoting 10 current and former American officials who spoke on condition of anonymity, described the intelligence breach as one of the worst in decades.

It said that even now intelligence officials are unsure whether the US was betrayed by a mole within the CIA or whether the Chinese hacked a covert system used by the CIA to communicate with foreign sources.

Of the damage inflicted on what had been one of the most productive US spy networks, however, there was no doubt: at least a dozen CIA sources were killed between late 2010 and the end of 2012, including one who was shot in front of colleagues in a clear warning to anyone else who might be spying , the Times reported.

In all, 18 to 20 CIA sources in China were either killed or imprisoned, according to two former senior American officials quoted. It was a grave setback to a network that, up to then, had been working at its highest level in years.

Those losses were comparable to the number of US assets lost in the Soviet Union and Russia because of the betrayals of two infamous spies, the reporter said.

Tension in Korean Peninsula

                          Tension in Korean Peninsula

                               North fires another missile

North Korea test-fired a ballistic missile yesterday, the latest in a series of launches which have sparked international condemnation and threats of tougher UN sanctions.
South Korea described the launch , the second in a week and the eighth this year, as "reckless and irresponsible " while the US military stressed "ironclad" commitment " to defend its allies in the region.

The missile, described by Washington as a medium-range one, was fired from Pukchang in South Pyongan province and traveled about 500 kilometers (311 miles), according to the South's armed forces.

"Our military is closed monitoring signs for additional provocation by the North Korean military and we are keeping a full military readiness, " said  statement from the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The Launch came just one week after the North fired a Hwasong-12 intermediate-range missile, which according to Pyongyang flew almost 800 km and was capable of carrying a "heavy" nuclear war -head.

A white House official visiting Saudi Arabia with Trump appeared to play down yesterday's firing .

But South's foreign ministry slammed the "reckless" and irresponsible" firing as "throwing cold water on the hope and longing of the new government and the international community " for denuclearisation and peace on the Korean Peninsula.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson warned yesterday that the United States was still in the "early stages" of applying pressure on Pyongyang, after yet another North Korean missile test in defiance of international sanctions.

In an interview with Fox News yesterday, Tillerson called the latest test" disappointing " and "disturbing " but he rejected a suggestion it was a sign that the United States's approach to the challenge posed by North Korea was not working.

If North Korea continuously test the nuclear which has become a continuous headache for the world and it shows the world leaders understand that nuclear bombs are nothing but saplings for the destruction, why Russia, America, Britain, France, Germany, China, Israel, India and Pakistan have deposited so many of them?

Malala Yousuf, the youngest novel peace winner,  urged everyone to build schools not bombs. It is also clear that Bombs cost far more than making a modern school.

Isn't it insane and a matter of shock when the United States felt a sense of pride when they dropped "The mother of all bombs in Afghanistan? Though it was to destroy the enemies of the United States, Afghanistan, and peace lovers and then being jealous Russia claimed that they have the father of all bombs which they claim far stronger than Mother of all bombs.

I think people don't vote them for making bombs, but to lead them towards development . The way the world leaders working, I must consider them worse than animals like cannibals.

A student of Aloron International School & college told you don't love us. You love bombs

Do we need bombs???????????

The Boy Jesus in the Temple

The Boy Jesus in the Temple

Every year the parents of Jesus went Jerusalem for the Passover Festival. When Jesus was only twelve years old, they went to festival as usual. When the festival was over , they started back home, but the boy Jesus stayed in Jerusalem. His parents din't know this, they thought that he was with the group, so they traveled  a whole day and then started looking for him among their relatives and friends. They didn't find him, So they went back to Jerusalem looking for him. On the third day they found him in the temple, sitting with teachers, listening to them and asking questions. All who heard him were amazed at his intelligent answers. His parents were astonished when they saw him, and his mother said him, "My son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been terribly worried trying to find you. ''

He answered them, "why did you have to look for me? Didn't you know that I had to be in my father's house?'' But they did not understand his answer.

So Jesus went back with them Nazareth, where he was obedient to them. His mother treasured all these things in her heart. Jesus grew both in body and in wisdom, gaining favour with God and people.

English is just a language, but not a measure of intelligence.

English is a language, Not a measure of intelligence

"Oh! How fluent he/she is in English ! or "Oh see, he/she can speak English, How intelligent he/she is! The are very common lines that we often hear. In Asia, it is very much preferred that someone can speak English fluently or know the English language.

We think of the person who knows English, can do many things and anything. Ok, of course, English is a very important language and it is considered as one of the main official languages in the world. The truth is it is a very useful language. But nowadays we , at some point , think that the person or people who can write or speak, are the most knowledgeable. But knowledge or wisdom cannot be measured by a language. English may not be a measure of intelligence but it surely of confidence. Not all people who can speak English are educated or intelligent. Some countries where English is not a first language may find it hard to learn, speak and write but this does not mean that they are not intelligent or educated. For instance, most Japanese or Taiwanese cannot speak English fluently. And it does not state that they are not intelligent or educated. Whereas it is known to all that much of the modernization based on technology developed in these countries. Not all man who can speak English are brilliant.

English is certainly important in the era of globalization. It is the most officially used language all over the world. But it is the second language for people whose mother tongue is not English. Intelligent refers to a person's ability to use his or her brain for the well being of both human and nature. It means that they are able to grasp concepts and builds ideas on them. It also means that they are able to deal with work around solve problems using their own power of deduction and imagination - be it on an exam paper, a boardroom or real life. English, meanwhile, is simply a language. The most universally accepted and respected language no doubt- but just a language. A well-oiled English vocabulary reflects in a person a sound educational background in the language. It means that they've been brought up and groomed in a way as to be well-spoken in English. It may also reflects the person's love for English Literature, language, culture. It does not, however, certify that person's level of intelligence To be intelligent is to know not to make fun of those who may be different from us, but not less smart.

we need to understand that English is a language and it is not a way to measure our smartness or wisdom. Knowledge is something which we can acquire by hard labor and practice. And wisdom requires huge patience along with hard labor. In my point of view, speaking English is an important quality for sure but those who can't speak English fluently are not dumb or not smart. They are also respectable and intelligent at the same time. We should change the way of our thinking. Everyone was born with certain talent.

Mother's Day

                                         Mother's Day

I have read a number of status on Mothers Day. It is not all, there were ample of videos made to wish mothers through the means of celebrating Mother's Day. I have not posted any status regarding Mother's Day. Many people bought for things like houses, flats, cars, cell phones, dresses, shoes and so on to celebrate Mother's day. May be we do the same to celebrate Father's Day. If we judge how much we love our mothers based on only Mother's Day, we will make a grievous mistake. We also know that there are some old homes available in Bangladesh let's not talk about the world. If we love our mothers honestly, why there are some old homes? Why we have to read news on headline that mother died in son's hand? These types of news are available. Do the evidence state we love our mothers ? The answer for some people is a big Fat NO. And to show love towards mother why do we need a day? I heard a news about an old lady who died alone in her own house when no one of her family was there to treat her with care before death. The neighbors understood that someone had passed away when the smelled rotten meat of the old lady. It is also clear that she had children who lives in the USA and other parts of Australia. This news hurts lots of people around the world. Here, I haven't posted anything because I don't think I need a single day to celebrate Mother's Day. I love my mother every month of every year,  every day of every month, every hour of every day, every minute of every hour, every second of every minute. I mean I love my mother at every of my heart beat. My heart beat pronounces ma ma ma ma ma ma .... I love you .ma

The Sundarban

                                                  The Sundarban

About Sundarbans in 15 seconds.
The Sundarban- the world heritage site, is situated in Khulna Division, Bangladesh and West Bengal, India. It is the habitat for the magnificent creature, The Rayal Bengal tiger and some of the most venomous reptiles on earth. The total area of Sundarban is 139,500(539 sq miles). The Sundarban is a natural region in southern Bangladesh as well as the extreme southern part of the Indian state of West Bengal in the huge river delta on the Bay of Bengal. It is also to note that It is the largest single block of tidal halophytic mangrove forest in the universe.

The Sundarbans covers nearly 10,000 square killometers (3,900 sq mi) majority of which is in Bangladesh with the remainder in India. The Sundarbans is a UNESCO  World Heritage Site. The South, East and West of the Sundarbans are three protected forests in Bangladesh. This reason is densely covered with mangrove forests, and the largest reserves for the Bengal tiger. The Sundarbans not only protect animals live in the forest, but also helps lots of people to earn the daily livings.

Bees make the hives in different trees in the Sundarbans, Honey collectors go in group in side the forest in order to collect honey. Rivers flows at Sundarbans provide with ample of different fishes. This forest is also at the edge of destruction. Everyone should come together to save Sundarbans from the catastrophe.

The universe was green and lusty. Today the universe we live in is not the one it meant to be. Billion years ago, it provided lives with many things. Most importantly, human could live over two to five hundred years and from some sources it shows about eight hundred years. But now many lives are being washed away on daily basis. The temperatures of the atmosphere has increased at an alarming rate because of the destruction of forest. In one report it has been stated that pretty much the size of 100 football stadiums of forest faces the axes of perpetrators. Therefore, scientists around the world predicts that the lower parts of the world will submerge under water. Countries which will encounter the heavy losses are Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Malaysia, Maldives, Sri Lanka. World leaders are seen to host seminars on sports, wars and so on. But they haven't arranged any program world wide that the world need more greenery. So, more trees need to be planted. There are a number of days that people celebrate like Mother's Day, Father's Day, World Environment Day, Labor Day etc. Yet there is not a day to plan a sapling. Mother nature gives us many things abundantly but in return she wants care from us. History has shown some people like William Wordsworth, Robert Frost, John Keats and very few people worshiped the nature. After them none inherited the culture. To live peacefully we need mother nature healthy. Mother nature becomes healthy when we plant many trees instead of making nuclear bombs in order to showcase the power.

I love mother nature. Do you love her?
